Remove The Swirls and Get The Most Gloss From Your Paint

  • Our 2 Stage Paint Correction service is aimed to remove around 85% of the swirls, scratches, and imperfections from your paint. This is where we do an intense cutting and polishing step, called a 2-step correction, to get the most gloss and clarity from your paintwork.

  • Depending on your condition, whether the vehicle is new or not, some scratches won’t come all the way. It could be the scratches are too deep to remove safely or the clear coat itself is thinning out (we’ll take paint measurements before we start).

  • This is where we’ll make the proper judgement call on what we can safely remove off your paint. It’s not just about removing as many imperfections. It’s also knowing when enough is enough to keep the integrity of the paint healthy and within good working boundaries.

  • And yes, for newer vehicles, even just 4 months off the lot, the paint can still require a 2-step correction service. Although you’ve only had the vehicle for a few months, the car has been transported and handled for many months by many people (in many different places).

  • 2 Stage Paint Correction is a commitment you’re making to the vehicle. If you’d like to keep the shine on your paint, you have to properly maintain the vehicle after the service is complete. If you don’t properly wash and dry the vehicle, you can easily put all those swirls and scratches back into your paint in just a few washes.

Our Paint Correction Process:

1.  Clean wheels, tires, and fenders with variety of brushes.

2. Safe method of hand wash vehicle including cleaning the door jambs.

3. Chemically remove iron particles from your paint.

4. Clay bar your paint to remove remaining embedded dirt and debris.

5. Tape off sensitive sections to decrease the chance of polish buildup or staining.

 6. Compound phase (Step 1): Safely remove a majority of the swirls and scratches from your paint with a machine polisher, cutting disc, and compound.

7. Polish Phase (Step 2): Increase shine and clarity by polishing the micro-scratches that are leftover from the compound phase

8. Wipe down the vehicle with polish remover to inspect the paint and its true condition.

9. Apply protection to the paint base on your choice of paint protection (Sealant or Ceramic Coating).

10. Dress tires and plastic trims to make them shine and protected

11. Clean Interior & Exterior windows and mirrors.

12. Final inspection and touch up.

If you’re in need of a complete detail on the exterior and interior, a great add-on service is our Interior Detail. You’ll feel like you have a brand-new car again.

Paint Correction FAQs

Please reach out to us if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Over time, a vehicle's paint can become damaged or dull due to exposure to the elements and improper wash method. Paint correction can restore the appearance of the paint, making it look like new again.

When done correctly, paint correction should not damage the vehicle's paint. However, if done improperly or by an inexperienced detailer, it can cause damage to the paint. Cheaper is not always better.

The time it takes to complete a paint correction job depends on the extent of the damage to the paint. Minor imperfections may only take a few hours to correct, while more extensive damage may require several days.

The results of paint correction can last anywhere from a few months to several years, depending on factors such as how the vehicle is maintained and how often it is exposed to the elements. The best solution is to seal in all that shine with a long lasting protection like Ceramic Coating.
